Making Santa Claus Come To Life For Kids

How to Make Santa Claus a Reality for Your Children

As a parent, you want your kid to have a Christmas that they will always remember. You want them to have memories of the Christmas’s they had as a child that they share with their own children. With this being said, you can make sure that your kids have some great memories by using some methods to make it seem like Santa Claus is definitely real. There are those age old tricks of taking a bite out of the cookie and drinking the milk that every parent has done before. However, these ideas are a bit more intricate and they are going to definitely take some planning, and maybe some help from the older kids or your significant other to really make Santa Claus seem like a real person.

Get Creative with the Details

  1. Leave behind some deer hair in the front yard on the snow. This can be a great way to make the kids think that Santa Claus is real. What kind of hair should you use? Honestly dog or cat hair in a light brown color will be fine. And you may even find that putting a bell next to the hair as though a bell fell off of the harness as they waited for Santa Claus to come out of your house happened. It is amazing to see the little smiles that happen when they spot this. Be sure that you play dumb and get the kids thinking with their imagination.
  2. If you have a pair of skies in your house, then take these out in the snow and lay tracks as though the sled took off and landed right at the front door. The key to making this work is to avoid putting a lot of footprints down next to these as you lay them. More footprints make it obvious that you laid something down. If you do leave footprints, try to brush these away to make the area look better.
  3. Leave reindeer poop in the front yard. Let’s face it, anything related to poop is going to be of interest to little girls and boys. How many people do this is getting brown play dough and making some larger round balls, letting this dry out and then placing it in their front yard? After all, Santa Claus cannot control where his reindeer’s go to the bathroom while they are delivering presents since time is of the essence!
  4. Do you have a bush or something in your yard that you want to get rid of? When Santa Claus is coming this is the perfect opportunity to stage the demise of this bush or plant. Make it look like Santa ran over this, or the reindeer ate it or trampled it. You make your kids believe more in Santa Claus while getting rid of something that you didn’t want to keep anyways.

There are tons of other ways in which you can make Santa Claus come to life for your kids, just think outside the box and what your kids would believe!
